Metal is decent, rock better, and punk rock better still.
Equally a bit of celtic music is good, irish or scottish.
The only genre I cant stomach is pop.

Personally, I enjoy hard rock and metal the most out of all of the genre's of music. I listen to some alternative, but sometimes that gets a little to soft for me. My top three bands that somewhat fall into all three categories would be Metallica, Five Finger Death Punch, and Rise Against.

I enjoy listening  to rock as well as metal music, those are probably my favorite genres of music. Some pop is alright as well as a small amount of rap, but other than that a lot of it is nonsense, and most pop and music of today in general isn't really all that great to begin with. I like metallica but aside from metal I also like music from the 80s because that is when it was the best and when music was actually good for once. But that is the type of music I enjoy.

Some of my favorite Punk bands are GG Allin (the infamous king of the scum rock n roll underground), the Sex Pistols, Crass, Reagan Youth, Rick Kids on LSD, the Urinals, the Kids, the Subhumans, the viletones (not really one of my favorites, but they are good sometimes), the Ramones, the Mad, the Child Molesters (nice name huh?) just to name a few.
