I'd go with Brad Pitt's character, Tyler Durden from Fight Club.  He has style, he has great fashion sense, and does whatever he wants when he wants.  He's a pure Id character and he's what every man wish that man could be.  He fights, he gets girls, he is always successful, in charge, and full of energy.  He's the best.

I would say Angelina Jolie, the TOMB Raider movies were my favorite and I would love to be able to kick booty like that! She may get a few hits every now and then but she never loses! I have always wanted to be able to fight real well and a fantasy of being Immortal.

However, Rooster Cogburn from True Grit, played by John Wayne is.
As is Paul Kersey from the Death Wish films.  Played by Charles Bronson.  They would be good choices for you.

As for me, as it can be ANY character,  I'd go for Godzilla.  Being able to flatten whole cities, virtually indestructible and able to breathe plasma, great.  However I'd try to do good, like lifting stuff after disasters.  That is if I didn't make things worse.

I would also love to be Superman (Henry Cavill) from Man of Steel. His powers were so accentuated in that movie, I found him amazing. 
I would love to play Augustus Waters in "The Fault In Our Stars" movie that's coming out this June. Not be him, though. If you read the book you'd know why.
