You may have heard about the legendary Fallout games. Before the largely successful Fallout 3 there were 3 games in the Fallout series, Fallout 1, 2, and finally Tactics. They were all 2D turn based CRPGs, but they are all well loved and are redeemed as classics today. Sadly the original publishers of the Fallout series, Interplay, are soon going to be stripped away the ability to distribute the first three Fallout games.

We now can get out filthy hands into some post-apocalyptic role playing action for free for a limited time? But how can you get the classic Fallout games you may ask? Along with your game, there is some bonus content, such as music and wallpapers. And there are plenty of mods and patches to go around, but to me the most essential one is the widescreen patch. This lets you play Fallout 1, 2, and Tactics in, you guessed it, widescreen. There are different versions of the patch for each game.
