I think the only game I have played which is like this entirely is Left for Dead 2. I enjoy being the Zombies a lot more than humans because of all of the different classes and abilities you can have. I especially like Zombie which vomits acid over everyone, I just find it somewhat hilarious. 
I think the only other similar games with this concept I have played are the game modes in Call of Duty and Halo. I guess these are just game modes and you pretty are still human in both apart from in Halo 4 where you actually become a zombie! They are just as fun as Left 4 Dead if not more so.

Yes I have and I think it is really fun to control the zombies, upgrade them and make entire towns zombies too. I think it is even more fun because you have to be strategic.

There is a game called Plague Inc. and if you buy one of the DLCs then you can control the zombies and watch as world domination takes place. You can guide them to new countries and evolve them.
