A long time ago when I was really little, my dad built an arcade cabinet and put a computer inside that ran mame.  There were a couple games he played a lot of, Arch Rivals, and some sort of monster making game.  I've been looking all over the place for a clue as to what the title was and I have had no luck.  I recently thought it might have been Dr. Mad's Monster Maker but I heard that game was never finished and I have found no prototype roms anywhere.  My dad says he vaguely remembers that the game was a sort of pipe puzzle game, that's all we remember about it now.  Anyone have an idea of what this game could be?

I spent about an hour looking around various websites for possible information on this game and I came up with almost nothing. Of course, I first searched for info  on Dr. Mad's Monster Maker, but as you said it didn't make it as far as I can find. But, I did find a game around the same era created by Midway called Wacko.

Now, it doesn't have anything to do with pipes, but it is a puzzle game involving shooting monsters and their matches to get them off the screen. If you don't shoot the right match the monsters fuse together to create mutants. You can find some game play of it on youtube by searching for wacko arcade. Not sure if this is what you're looking for, but it's all I could come up with.

That's not the game, but Wacko is another game I forgot about entirely.? Thanks for reminding me about that game.

Update: I found it, after searching through 772 pages of mame games on vizzed, I found the game.  It's called Dr. Sparkz Lab, on here it's just labeled as Sparkz.
