Hitmonchan, it can use different elemental moves like thunder, ice, and fire punch. And because those moves became physical moves in diamond/pearl they work well with Hitmonchan's high attack stats making it able to fight almost any enemy with super effective results. Hitmonlee was my favorite before they made those punching attacks physical move rather than special moves.

pretty much every kick attack hitmonlee has hurts the user if it misses..even though hitmonchan's special attack aint that high i think its better than hitmonlee bcuz it dont hurt itself if its attacks miss

I usually prefer Hitmonlee, but only because he kicks. I usually associate kicking as more powerful than punching. This may be because as a runner I have stronger legs, but I think generally this is true...
