Hello guys this is my first game review of Scott pilgrim vs the world Enjoy.
Scott pilgrim is one of my favorite movies/book series ?i've seen scott pilgrim the movie 5 or 6 times and when i found out they were making a scott pilgrim vs the world the game i bought it no questions asked because i already knew it was going to be awesome and it was.

story: scott pilgrim is a lovable 23 year old loser who ?lives in Toronto Canada when [ at a party] falls in love ramona flowers and she falls in love with him. so what could be the problem with these two lovebirds. only the fact that she has seven evil ex boyfriends that want to control ramona's love life. now scott must rise to the occasion to fight the evil seven like matthew patel, roxy richter ect. but scott wont be alone in this game he has buddys to help him out. you can play as scott, ramona, steven stills, and kim pines one of scotts ex's. in the film/books knives chau scotts girlfriend before ramona plays a huge role in the plot development in the game however she kinda blends in with it all but thanks to dlc [download able content] you can now have an option to play as knives other then this shes more like an assistant.

presentation: this game is beautiful ubisoft did a job well done with this one. what i like is that the creator of the film "edgar wright " and the creator of the books "bryan lee o'malley " were both apart in the development of this game. the graphics are beautiful ?from jump to 8 to 16-bit ?graphics is good. one of my favorite things about this game is the music. i've been a fan of?chiptune rock band anamanaguchi before the games release when i played it i got hype when the music was playing and i thought "is this anamanaguchi".

gameplay: this is where the fun and frustration comes in. as i mention earlier you can play as scott.ramona,kim,and steven?stills fighting your way through wave after wave. this game is that of the old beat-em ups. for older gamers you know what im talking about ?streets of rage,final fight, simpson arcade,ect. while fighting you'll start leveling up and upgrading you skills. you have heart points or hp and guts points or gp. your GPs lower when you do a special attack or call knives. in multiplayer if you or a friend get knocked out you have a continue counter to revive them this can be bothersome at times because the bad guys will go after you while your trying to save your friend.when you defeat a boss the gigantic K.O. sign appear's then when your done killing them the game kinda stops for a good 5-10 second's ?as if mores going to happen.if you get game over you have to start the level for the beginning and thats annoying at times.

Final level: so lets say you beaten the six evil boyfriends its time to fight gideon [ironicly thats the name of ramonas cat] but be perpared for a good 20-30 minute battle because you have to fight him three different times with different forms each time and then those weird load times after the boss fight make it fell like there should be more happening. there different endings depend on what character you choose,and then the credits go on and there are two things im thinking about. i finally beat it and why cant i skip the credits and these credits last for about 12 minutes might as well suck it up and listen to so awesome anamanaguchi.

bonus:this bonus is easy but time consuming all you have to do is beat the game with the four playable characters [not knives] and you will unlock negascott. also some times on the world map you will see a figure on the world map go where it is and you will enter a optional boss fight of mr.chau beat him and now you have another assist feature.

final thoughts: scott pilgrim vs the world :the movie,the game,the books are all great i recommend all of them to you. with that in mind i give this game a overall rating of 9.7 thats all i got to say but tell me what you think of the game.

I think for a first review, you did really good for this review, because you have put in a good amount of details in the review and got them all catagorized, for your future review, like add a little more content into your reviews, but still, nicely done on this review.

The game itself is pretty simple beat em up. I love it, since it shows even to this generation, you can always go back to the side scrolling fighting arcade-esque games.
