Who said it had to be right? It's not right and wrong here, as long as someone gets paid. It's the person's responsibilities, not the company's.

Well I don't think they're messed up. People make their own choices, and have been warned. How do you propose to change it?

They shouldn't have to tell you, as John said, its their choice, thats why half our nation is obese, they are fat scrubs who are so lazy they just like to watch tv and eat fast food, they're fault. And the companies have no reason to put it out in the air, if the customer cared they would ask.

People wouldn't be sitting around and watching TV all day, if the TV stations didn't fill their programming with reality shows of people humiliating themselves. It's in a way, both sides done wrong. Corperations put the product there in the first place, and then "seduce" people into buying the stuff. Then, the people are hooked, even thoghu many of them know it's notgood for you. The public is weak-minded.

like I said, it is both parties at fault, in their own ways....


and the funny thing is.... the people have the control. If we stop buying something, or buy a lot of something else.... then that thing is less or more popular and companies respond. The problem is that most people don't care enough to do anything about stuff

Yea! Its all just business, and the only reason they are in business is because of you. You the consumer make the world go round.

And my opinion is that big business is dealing in ruthless ways I think are not only immoral but sickening.

I'm sad to say that the most valid point was brought up by Belial, in my opinion. The companies don't care about our health. They have the nutrition stuff and warning due to law. It's all business and they just want you to buy buy buy. How can we change something that has been here so long? It's not something that's going to happen overnight. I agree completely with Jin though. It's wrong and I think the companies themselves should do something about it. Mcdonald's doesn't have to make their food so greasy. I know the burgers I make at my house don't have a tenth of the grease and stuff that oozes out of those things and it tastes better too. They don't put effort into helping the people that, sadly, are too lazy or apathetic to worry about their own health. Which is another thing...a lot of people just have no common sense. Basically they just need to be met half way, which has already been said once. As for tobacco companies...I'm just wondering. Is it true about all the things they put into their cigarettes or is that only a rumor? If it's true then what the heck are they doing it for? I honestly don't know what could be done about cigarettes. Except that people need to choose for themselves whether or not they find it appropriate. I personally can't stand being around cigarette smoke even though the smell honestly isn't the worst I've smelled. I guess it's the thought of it that get's to me, like a taboo or something, and the instant coughing and hard breathing I tend to have around it ^^;;

I completely agree that big business doesn't care about us as long as we consume and fear, fear and consume.

We're nothing more than lab rats to them. It's not a question of 'Does this happen?' because it obviously does.

But is it right? Not by ANY means.

About the cigerettes... yea most of that stuff is in them. Its all used for the chemicals to get the right burn and such. Its rather scientific.

I'm not denying what is in the stuff. I'm just saying the reasons. Its about business pure and simple. These people are good at what they do, and the people like it. Really its kinda sorta a win-win.
