The best box game is Settlers of Catan.  it's a strategy game that relies on negotiation, communicating and working with and against other players and has a strong element of short and long term strategies.  It's like a multiplayer chess game that also has dice involved.  It's based on Victory points that go back and forth and you are basically playing Civilization against other people.

Try that game out if you get a chance.  Settlers of Catan.  It's fun because it's fairly easy to learn and quick to pick up.  You can play while drinking and it makes a good party game because three to six people can do their thing on the board.

Monopoly is one of my favourite games for sure. I don't think I've actually finished a game in years though. lol Taboo, Trivial Pursuit and Cranium Cadoo are a few more that I really enjoy. I also have a few WWE and Marvel trivia board games that I play quite a bit.
