I started playing Donkey Kong Country and was having no trouble with controls. However, I was struggling to play it using the keys on the keyboard. I have the software all set up to use my PlayStation 3 controller, so I plugged it in and everything seemed good to go. When I clicked to use Mednafen, it prompted me for each button, which I pressed correctly. (I'm always very careful to set up my controls correctly.) However, when the game loaded, my controls were acting strange. The up and down buttons on the D-Pad don't register and all four of my other buttons (X, square, O, triangle) all do the same thing: make Donkey Kong jump. I tried pressing ESC to bring up the menu, but nothing came up. I wiggled the mouse and the cursor moved, but nothing else happened. I tried Alt + Shift as well as Alt + Shift + n to try and reset the controls but it didn't work. I uninstalled the plugin and reinstalled it, and it allowed me to try configuring the buttons again. However, they still don't work, and I got the same results as before. I tried without Mednafen, and I could change the controls no problem. However when I switch to Mednafen again, the controls don't follow to it. (I didn't know there were separate sets of controls for Mednafen and not Mednafen.)

Is there a way to fix this? x _ x;; I haven't found anything on the forums about this particular problem.

double click the screen again when the game load sup and set the controls its the only way it can work even if you have tot do it a few times
