Twinleaf Academy - Chapter Four:

Adjusting to a Second Home

With the unfavorable event of the day before, my classmates and I carried on as if nothing had happened. The shattered glass was cleaned up, new frames had been built in, the broken chandeliers had been replaced, and Twinleaf Academy was bright and cheerful once again. Not one comment about a dark, shadowy figure had been mentioned all day. I woke up with a start; I was anxious for my first class, and I was excited to learn more about my "true potential". After a nice glass of pulpy orange juice to get a good start, my roommate Samantha and I parted ways and headed off to our classes. Stumbling through the hallway, and what seemed to be an endless staircase, I clumsily pulled out my school schedule to see where and what class I'd be taking. It was Telekinetic Class. According to the headmaster, all of us students had to take every course; it would be the only way to find out which power lies within us. Dropping nearly all of the pens and bottles of ink I had, I arrived at Telekinetic class, and not a moment too soon. The bell had rung two seconds after I walked through the door. "Hello, Mr. Oak." I sat down next to Dylan, my best friend whom I had arrived in the academy with. "Hiya, Courtney!" he whispered. I waved back, then turned to Mr. Oak. He handed out the Telekinetic books. I anxiously flipped through the books; I was hoping to be a Telekinetic. They were filled with helpful tips and suggestions on how to master it. It also included sings that indicate you might be a Telekinetic. I was going to enjoy the next few months. That's for sure.
