I think I only ate Kale once, but I didn't have any problems. It might be sour cabbage too, so maybe I'm wrong.
I don't eat that kind of greens but my mum once tried something new.
The strange thing is, I live in the Netherlands and from what I hear and heard some people eat a lot of Kale, but I might be wrong.

I guess it would depend how old it is. Like other cruciferous veggies (like broccoli), it can give gas, especially when it's turning yellow - you can smell it from the bag. Maybe cooking could help.

I don't really eat many greens at all it seems in my diet I do try to incorporate something but I have never had trouble with this. I know nothing of kale, I've never tried it before.  I am way to much of a steak and cheeseburger guy now that I think of it.  There are all kinds of fruits and veggies I never had.  At best I might have tasted something "exotic" in a fruit juice or something.

I have never tried Kale before, but it seems to have effects far worse than any other vegetable. I love vegetables, but I guess this is one that I'll try to stay away from.

Doesn't the gas and upset stomach comes from the nitrates in vegetables? I thought kale had a low amount of nitrates.

Hm... but I did read somewhere that kale can grow nitrates if it's not heated properly or something. Maybe that could be the reason why you have some tummy aches.

I generally do not eat cabbage so I would not know if Kale makes me ill or not.  I tried it one time and I did not like the texture of it. I have Autism so certain foods I do not eat because of the texture of them. So, I guess it is more of a sensory thing for me. 

Kale falls in the same category as fish for me, I don't eat fish cause its too flaky for me.
