My favorite design-wise would probably have to be Nidoking. I realize I may be missing the poison-point of what you were asking (ha) as well as how generic an answer he would be, but his character (to me) says "You are not very bright if you want to mess with me [barring psychic, of course]" 
King is big, bad, and he will mess you up; his look definitely fits.  That is why he is my top pick.

My favorite is probably the main male character in Pokemon black and white 2. He looks more mature, and more cooler than most other protagonist in the other Pokemon games. I would also say the Characters from Pokemon X and Y, but I haven't actually played it, only seen it.
