Wow my very first review on here! So this review will be about the game "Pokémon Double Battle" in my opinion one of the hardest Pokémon hacks I have played and I absolutely LOVE Pokémon hacks. The problem is that this game is only a beta version even though I have been told that you could play it all the way through so instead of saying it is a beta version maybe you could say that it is incomplete? There are a few bugs but that does not surprise me since this is an incomplete game.

Graphics: 9
This beta version is an incomplete hack of Pokémon Sapphire but playing through this game the name "Double Battle" sums it up because throughout the game even if the trainer only has 2 Pokémon it will be a double battle. Which to me adds to the graphics rating because both Pokémon Sapphire and Ruby did not have that type of game mode. Other than that the same graphics were left from Pokémon Sapphire which was not a big let down but one could hope when the developer releases the main version we will see a boost in graphics.

Sound: 9
The sound was left the same as Pokémon Sapphire which was a relief because I like playing with the sound on during hacks and the same music as in the original is in my opinion just so much better than random music being put in that gets annoying after a while. Since Pokémon Sapphire had such an array of soundtracks all which were not annoying I gave this rating a 9.

Addictiveness: 10
So as I said this game does have its bugs but the addictiveness is really there. I do not usually enjoy certain hacks due to weird text changes that are jokes about random cartoons that I never watched, the really random starters that do not really go well together as starters, and of course the really not well done map changes that confuse you because instead of doing a good job it seems that the creator just pieced together random map parts.This hack does not give you any of those three ingredients I listed which again was a BIG RELIEF! Also the difficulty increase was enough that I enjoyed the game rather than breaking my computer because of the amount of grinding I would need to do to move on. I chose the Machop as my starter but looking at some of the screen shots I could tell that the other two would be tough to train to beat your rival so if you are looking to have an easier time playing definitely start out with the Machop! But I was told if you picked Tyrogue then you will see a very large power boost when it evolves so definitely keep that in mind.

Story: 9
What can be said is that double battles even with the Elite Four makes the story a little more interesting and enjoyable even if nothing changed from the original Pokémon Sapphire. I love that the story stayed the same because it makes the game easier where you do not need to really pay attention to every small detail or look up game play videos or online strategy guides just to continue the game and the puzzles. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the fact that you can still do the trick master's house and contests which I loved doing after a few badges and HMs.

Depth: 9
Nothing changed too much as far as the original game. There are almost all double battles, gym leader team changes, level increase of normal trainer's Pokémon, and the Elite Four's teams are also changed and much harder than in the original. So this category deserves a 9 because even though there could have been more changes made there were still enough to change up the hack a little bit.

Difficulty: 10
This hack in my opinion is much harder than even Pokémon Dark Rising which took even all my friends a while to beat. Nothing too big changed from the original but if you do not have the right types on your teams when you play this game then you will definitely need to add newer team members which adds to the amount of grinding needed as well as the difficulty. Also the first gym changed in a way where your whole team could be put to sleep and paralyzed which makes the game extremely difficult even that soon into the hack!

Hope you all enjoyed my first review and I would recommend this game to the average Pokémon Hack player who likes a more difficult hack!

This is the best review I have seen I have nothing but good things to say about this so here it goes. I thought the last one I read was the best but this one beat it by a mile. The most fabulous details. Plenty of what is great about it and what sucks about the game. Really good wording, grammar, and everything else.Make sure to keep writing reviews because this is beyond fantastic.  A part of me cant believe this is your first after some of the others I have read.  You are most defiantly a natural at this.
