So what were some of your first times on the net about?  I remember visiting bulletin boards that nobody ever posted at then we got AOL and looking up codes for games like MKII and the like were some of my first net memories.

My first memories of the internet where about exploring the awesome site of Kidcity.be ... and now I am talking about 12 years ago! The site has vanished from the internet, but the memories still linger. But it was a safe environment for children to talk to each other and learn all about the world wide web!

I recall the agony of waiting an entire day to download a 50mb trial version of Age of Empires II... and then at around 90% the Internet poops out and you had to start from the beginning!

Some friend of mine in 1994 or 1993 talked about how awesome it is but also how expensive it was to be connected. I think I tried it for the first time in 1995 or 1996 when our local library got connected. I went straight for the gaming tips.
