If any of you have ever watched FMA or FMA:B, at the scene in Hughes' funeral, when Mustang is crying, he dismisses it as 'rain,' when there's not a single cloud in the sky. So I thought... I could write a poem about that. What follows is not necessarily about Mustang, but people who won't admit they're crying in general.

That's Not Rain

When I hurt or am in pain
Why does it always begin to rain?
Drizzling, the sky starts weeping,
The chill through everything seeping.
Like now.

But it’s not raining.

Every time I forget my umbrella it soaks;
I feel like the butt of a joke.
It’s not like things could have gotten much worse,
Until it starts raining as if I’m cursed.
Does the sky hate me?

No, it doesn’t.

Forming puddles shallow and deep,
Interrupting my nightmares’ sleep,
Freezing my bones’ marrow,
Stiffening me like a scarecrow…
Why do I feel so numb?

Get close to the warmth.

Silence broken by the dull patter
As if each raindrop actually matters.
Why destroy a solitude I crave?
Against this injustice I rave!
Why must you come, oh rain?

What rain?

Falling down my face
Stinging my eyes, my cheeks- all over the place-
It always brings me pain,
This stupid, infernal rain.
It matches my mood every day.

Then, pray tell, what is it?

Those are tears.

I do remember that in FMA:B.... And it was one of the sadist parts in the anime. The poem you wrote more or less for it is rather good in my opinion. I'm not one with Literacy so I can not critic it, nor do I feel I would have the right to do so anyways. But I will say the poem has feels and if it can make me feel then I say its good. 

I hope that you continue on your journey of words and would like to see more.

Another day another piece of writing or manuart ?( I made that word up )  my Um... I would use the nickname but nahhh ... This poem is displaying pragramatism . Very real very ... true . Lots of people cry and have excuses , some of which are displayed in this poem. Rain they say .... one of the mostly used excuses .  Wonderful Work I am using the name Female Shakespare Hey can you spell that for me please ?
