Last post for today, forgotten Sega characters. First is Ray the Flying Squirrel.

He controlled kinda like Bubsy the Bobcat, you know, gamer Satan? I guess maybe Bubsy got a chance to thrive and haunt all of us when he was cut. Sword Legion said in a thread they forgot fang the sniper. He's a rat or weasel with a fedora who works alongside Rouge, at least he did before he was banished by Sega.

Actually, knuckles wore a fedora in the metal sonic movie... did knuckles KILL HIM AND STEAL HIS DUDS?!?
The next 3, amazingly, were part of team Chaotix. They had 6 members who helped Knuckles in their debut, one of them being Mighty The Armadillo.

He had similar powers to sonic in the fact he would roll into a ball and dash into enemies. Maybe the guys back at Sega just realized a game w/o sonic isn't their kind of game (exactly why they had to smash a Night Into Dreams level in Sonic Lost World) and added him to fill the void. Sadly he didn't show up in Sonic Heroes, yet because of the need for a flying character they kept CHARMY!? Damn...
The last 2 were cut because they, well, suck. They are the duo Heavy and Bomb.

The way Knuckles selected a partner was by a claw machine or something, yeah, and we thought Yoshi was treated as an item...
Heavy and bomb were both down grades. Heavy made you, well, heavy, causing you to sink in water and move slower. Since speed is what makes sonic, this was terrible. Also you really need to hurry up and get outta the water when the drowning music comes up. Bomb didn't make you lose stats, but the very first enemy you find in a level he blows up. He also dies in the process, maybe Bomb Heavy and Mighty died in a freak explosion... R.I.P. Those guys above. Also I know Chip will be forgotten as games go by without him, so just throwing that out there.

Honestly the one thing I really miss about the sonic games as they have moved forward in time is the change of Amy's outfit. I miss the old Green and Orange one, not the one we are all familiar with by now. I mean why was it necessary to change it at all? Did she not seem girly enough or something? What's wrong with not fitting the girly pink stereotype eh? As for the majority of all these characters including Chip, it looks to me like they simply weren't popular enough to stay in the series. I mean what happened to characters like Big the Cat or Chaos? Silver? All these good characters seem to have been disappearing in more recent days causing me to realize that characters simply disappear with time, it happens to the best of them really. I mean even Sonic as a whole has become vastly less popular then the series was before.

These guys appeared in Sonic the Fighters
as playable characters.

     They have been associated with Fang the Sniper, and in the comics they often do work with him, trying to get the chaos emeralds, working for Dr. Eggman. They are generally thought of as bad guys, or bounty hunters. Even though, in the first game that they appeared in, they were all trying to stop Dr. Eggman.

The two are almost like brothers.

To be honest, I knew none of these at all. I am not the hugest saga of sonic fan, but I would think that I would know at least a few of these. It is sad to be a fan and not know these. Thanks for these man!

I knew about Knack the Weasle from a Mortal Kombat vid ... long story . Anyway as for the others ... I never knew those guys ... Except for Armadillo guy . I knew him . 

Wow I really never saw these guys. I guess they really have been forgotten by a lot of people. Thanks for this reminder of these sonic characters.

Honey the Cat from sonic the fighters.She was never put into the final game but she was entered in as a unlockable character in the PSN and Xbox live versions.
