Okay. Someone is being a pain in the butt at the website I'm writing at so I'm documenting some of my stories here, so I can have a back up so to speak to look to. Ugh.
The threat Rose had sensed was nothing more than a cat that had been creeping about the hallways. It hissed at the two of them, sensing that there was something different about the humanoids in front of it. The black feline ambled on cautiously, eyeing Rose and Lee as it passed them by. The two hybrids continued to the more populated areas of the secret laboratory. No one questioned them or their identities. Lee was getting agitated. So far, their trip had been rather easy, perhaps too easy. Rose silently calmed her mate down, even though she felt the same way that he did. She felt that they were being watched as they traversed towards the exit of the laboratory. She carefully observed the security cameras and frowned. Someone had been observing them through the cameras.
(The security cameras.) She said mentally to her mate.
Lee hissed angrily but maintained a calm and steady pace as they walked out of the base and out to the outside world. The couple continued to observe their surroundings, feeling completely uneasy. They now knew that they were being followed. They could smell the sweat and blood from humans that were hidden from their view. The male eel used his ability to camouflage the both of them.
(We can play at this game.) Lee thought. (Foolish humans.)
It was another latent ability that he had. He had gotten used to it, practicing when he was underneath the thick, watery substance that filled his tank. He wasn't about to reveal all of his secrets to the damned humans that experimented on him and Rose.
"They're gone." A shocked voice called out.
Lee smirked as he led his mate away from the hunting scene.
"They'll be back." A familiar dark figure said. "It'll be a matter of time."
In the back of his office, there was a large tube of specialized liquid and inside that tube was a dark, eel-like creature that resembled the two escaped experiments. This one was completely under the influence of his creator and was made to hunt down and destroy escaped experiments. This creation had a camera on it. If it found that the female had produced offspring, it would simply obey the order to bring the female back to his creator. If she didn't, it would simply obey the order to kill her and bring back the male.
