Chapter One - Receiving the pokemon!

 It was 10am when I woke up this morning! " Oh Noo... I'm gonna be late for the starter pokemon " I screamed. As I ran across the bedroom getting clothes on and off, I finally had the perfect look for me. It was a dark red jacket with yellow shorts and to finish it off I had a dark black hat. As I ran down the stairs, my mother came up to me and said " Come on Gold you are going to be late, quick take this piece of toast while you get the the pokemon lab." I opened the door to see the best day ever, as I ran to the lab casually eating into my lovely toast. I arrived there seeing two of my friends waiting at the door looking angry at me. One of them was Silver he wore a bright white top with black trousers, then he shouted at me " Once again Gold always LATE like usual." I replied back with " Don't moan at me I couldn't sleep last night ". Then my other friend Crystal joined in the conversation, she wore a bright pink jumper with a red skirt. She whispered at us both together " Shouldn't we go in the lab now before the professor gets mad..? " We all walk in once and we was greeted by Professor Elm, " Hello I am Professor Elm and we would like you three to become pokemon trainers, these are the three pokemon to choose from so who would like to go first ?" I said " Me please may I go first ? " The professor replied with " Yes you may Gold! " As I look at the three pokemon on the desk first of all it was the cutest pokemon to see in my life Cyndaquil the Fire type pokemon. He had a cute little fiery neck with a smooth cream and dark green skin. Then I look to the left of Cyndaquil it was Totodile the Water type pokemon. He was a little land crocodile with bright blue scales. Then the last pokemon to Totodile was the Grass type Chikorita she was quite small to the other two pokemon, she was just pure lime green with a leaf on her head! Then I pointed my finger trying to think which one to choose... Then I slowly said " Cyndaquil, I choose you! " So as the professor gave me his pokeball and a pokedex. I watched Silver choose his starter I knew he was gonna choose Totodile because that Fire is weak to Water. Then I saw Silver pick up the Totodile and he laughed at me, then once again the professor gave him some pokeballs and a pokedex. Then it was poor Crystal I felt sorry for her being last but she must of known Chikorita would not be chosen by us. Then she gave the little Chikorita a hug and kiss, so after we choose our starter pokemon. The professor declared to us " Now that you have chosen your new starter pokemon, you will fulfill your journey by catching pokemon, defeating the trainers around the world then finally ending your journey by defeating the Champion of Johto now good luck to you all have a good time! " So as we all walked out of the lab to enter Route 1. We all said " Goodbye! "

Then we took our own paths, as I was walking around a weird look pokemon poked its head from the grass, I whipped out my pokedex and it read that pokemon. It was Sentret, I quickly through out my own pokeball to see Cyndaquil in battle! I shouted to my Cyndaquil to use Tackle, as his little feet ran towards Sentret he quickly launched at him with full power Tackle causes major damage to the Sentret. Then it counted with a Pound doing minor damage to Cyndaquil then I said one last time to use Tackle! The Sentret looked knocked out after that, then I threw my brand new pokeball to catch Sentret. I waited patiently for it to shake three times according to the professor. I said " 1... 2... 3... YEAH I've done it, I caught me a Sentret! " Then I started running to look for some more pokemon but this time I didn't want to catch them. I wanted to see my brand new Sentret in battle, after more than 7 pokemon and my Sentret was getting more powerful...

Then I stumbled to a sign saying Cherrygrove City. As I peeped around the sign there was someone standing there... He looked at me in surprise saying " Oh welcome to Cherrygrove City, I guess you are from New Bark Town? I replied with " Well yes of course! ". The man then said " Do you want a tour of Cherrygrove? You will get an award at the end! " " Yes I would like a tour and tell me the price? " I said. But the man shook his head, So at least 10 minutes of waiting for this boring tour to end. He then gave me a box, I opened it and all it was is a random pokeball. I said " Is this a pokemon..?" The man replied " Have look for yourself, oh and I forgot my name is George! " As I took the pokeball out and pressed the mini circle, a pokemon popped out it was a normal green and it was round shaped with a little tail. I took the pokedex from my bag then scanned the pokemon. The pokedex said it was Marill with a blue color instead of the green one in front of me! I said to George " Wait why is this Marill different to the one in the pokedex..? " He whispered in my ear " Its a Shiny pokemon, they are really rare according to the Shiny hunter in Johto... " I then said well thanks and I mean thanks a lot! But George grabbed me by the shoulder before I started to leave his sight " Wait! Not so fast, that Marill will cost 100 Poke Dollars! " I shouted at him " But.. You said it was a present! " George glared at me, then I took out 100 poke dollars out then he said " Thanks come again..."

I then started running before he wanted more money! As I ran to the pokemon center to heal my pokemon, I bumped into Crystal nearly pushing her over. Then once again I get shouted at " Hey! Watch where you're going Gold! " I replied with " Sorry but this guy called George just asked me for 100 poke dollars for a Shiny Marill..." She said to me " Oh so you bumped into him as well he gave me a Shiny Eevee, he also said that normal Eevees are brown instead of silver. " I replied with " Guess we are lucky, I hope Silver got a shiny pokemon if so." As we walked into the pokemon center it was at least  3pm... So I decided to have a nap...
