I was wondering what the future of final fantasy games will be.
From final fantasy 1 all the way to 12 the game has changed in various ways, do you think final fantasy is gonna make a change for the better or the worse??

i dont think anyone can say that before ff XIII is out^^

but if they keep up i think they will stay exactly like they r now^^

They should stop using the name "Final Fantasy" to sell games as it is making them lazy.
I mean just naming it Final Fantasy pretty much means it will sell big when it hits stores no matter if it is good or not.
Remove that guaranteed sale and they will have to focus on making a good game that the real fans will like.
Either that or they will make games for the average dumb Wii60 gen players, further selling the soul of gaming to the idiot side.

Its a way of refering to the current gen consoles, which are all rubbish.
You know, a term that is used. It doesnt matter about which one can grow what e-penis, it's just a way of reffering to this gens consoles.

Its hard to say they seem to get better than worse repeatedly so id say they will have sum better ones but also sum that arent as good plus they will be on next gen consoles so hopefully they put alot more effort into them.

I haven't enjoyed the Playstion 2 era games all that much, when compared to the rest of the Final Fantasy games, as well as some other rpg games of the same era. But I have high hopes for FFXIII and Versus. It'd be neat to see sequels to the original games - maybe a sequel to FF1 that's a mix of futuristic and medieval settings.

I believe that Final Fantasy games are going to continue on a path, more towards that of 11 & 14, with a few that are still single player being released for portable systems. That being said, I hope that they make more Tactics games that are more like the original FF:Tactics and its remake, rather than FFTA & FFTGA2. I also think that more Action/Fighting games similar to Dissidia will probably be released by Square-Enix. They'll also probably continue making more Chocobo & Crystal Chronicles games.

They will probably also go back and create more continuations to their older games like they did with 4, 7, 10, & 12, as well as making more games in the Compilation of Final Fantasy 7. I wouldn't doubt seeing either a prequel or Sequel to 6, a Companion/Sequel/Prequel game to 8, or a prequel to 5 in the future. Although I doubt them making any kind of game to go along with Final Fantasy 1 or 9 as they are both contained storylines, although I personally would want a game to go along with 9. I also doubt games to go along with 2 or 3, mostly because 2 had a continuation included in one of its remakes, and 3 doesn't have the right kind of storyline for a continuation.

As for when they'll stop using the Final Fantasy label... probably when Capcom stops making Mega Man or Nintendo stops making Mario games... in other words, probably never.

Final Fantasy is the best name to promote square games...
But i think if they're gonna keep doing ff series the title going to be over 60 xD

my only hope for the Final fantasy series is that they remake ff7 for ps3 or xbox 360 i stopped playing them after hmmm halfway through ff10. boring

I hope they never stop using "Final Fantasy" because there is absolutely nothing wrong with it! Dissidia is a game that uses ff characters and, unless I'm mistaken, uses exclusively ff characters. If they had named the games differently, then the match up of Zidane and Sephiroth could never have happened. all these great story lines are being created and then games like Dissidia come allong and, since they have the same title, brings them together in a big bundle of happiness!!!...or war...but you get the point!

I hope they don't make anymore online games exclusively...can someone set me strait about ffXIV?? is it a pc game or a ps3 game or an xbox 360 game?? and dose it cost money every month or not?? im confused!!

I want the exact opposite. I want people to shut the f*$k up about FF7, it's not the be all and end all of FF and it's been done to death.
Quiet frankly it's the worst FF game in existence, so I really don't know why people keep on about it (probally because the FF7 series is the only one easy enough for casual gamers).
Plenty of other, better, FF games don't have sequals.

Well the FF7 remake would be sweet, but I've heard rumors of a Dirge of Cerberus 2, there's still alot of Final Fantasy being worked on. With the next gen systems, I think we'll reach FFXV and higher. Hahaha just wait until Final Fantasy becomes virtual reality.
