Has anyone heard of something called a virophage? It was a relatively recent discovery and its a small virus that's a parasite to larger virus'. The way a virus "procreates" is that it finds itself a host cell each virus has its own unique host cell depending on the type of virus. It injects its DNA or RNA into the host cell and turns that cell into a factory of sorts creating other virus' and the cell becomes so numerous inside of its host they burst out destroying the cell and does the process all over again. A virophage is a virus that can't do that by itself so it finds itself a host virus and has the larger virus do the virophage's dirty work for it because the virophage can't replicate on its own. The virophage gets its name from a type of virus called the bacteriophage which is a virus that only goes after bacteria.

Here's a link to an article about it if your curious:  http://www.virology.ws/2011/03/22/virophage-the-virus-eater/

Hm. I wonder if we will discover a Virophage strong enough not only to prevent and limit an other virus, but stop it in it's tracts until it dies. Then would we be able to use the Virophage to our advantage. Imagine we create a short lived virophage that we can very easily treat, but it has the ability to "cure' someone of an other specific virus.

It sounds a little like I am legend, but something I'm sure some scientists will look into.
