What do you think would be on the other side of black holes?

Do you know if space just keeps on going on and on and on if not then what what would be stopping you from going further away?

Question 1: How do scientists even use math to work out the distance or temperature of a far distant object like a star? Like, how can they confirm it and be so sure it's right?

Question 2: Do you like spaaaaaaaaaaaace?

Question 3: Personally (since this can easily be answered by "could be anything"), what would you imagine an outer space species to look like (such as stereotypical alien, or some humanoid)?

Local Mods : Why isn't anybody answering there questions? I don't want to be the only person doing this you know, they like to hear your opinion too!

tgags123 : I will let you answer rcarter2 question, after all he summoned you.

imamonster : I'm sure we will discover thousands of more planets the way technology is evolving so fast, for all you know, humans might start living on them planets, if humans don't destroy the Earth by then.

awesomeguy279 : Wormholes
Space is still expanding while we speak, but over time, slower and slower, until it starts shrinking.

Darkpower508 :
Answer 1 : Honestly I'm not sure myself, but I guess you have to be very smart and/or have the right technology to do that. But they my estimate on the atmosphere of an planet, and could go by size of the star, I dunno...
Answer 2 : Well assuming I made the thread and a mod here, I will say no yes
Answer 3 : I would say both, they're are tons of planets out there, so XXXX billions of light years away you may find humanoid, and then somewhere else, you will find your stereotypical aliens that we all know about.

thing1 : No, because it's nothing like the outer planets. It's just one of Neptune's moons that got knocked out of orbit by an meteor or something like that.

rcarter2 : This all comes down to beliefs. My belief is that the universe is endless, and that it was created by some sort of God, not an explosion. Did I answer your question?

thing1 : You are asking if I believe in aliens? If so, yes. I do believe that there is definitely life on other planets. The universe is just so massive, there has to be another planet out there with life on it. It wouldn't make sense if it was just us. What makes Earth so special? So yes, I do believe in extra terrestrial beings.

tgags123 : Well, the Big Bang has NOTHING to do with explosions. That is a huge misconception. Nor does it have ANYTHING to do with the actual origin of the Universe. Another misconception. But that is not the main point. Your answer doesn't really answer the question on how you are completely ignoring the tracked observations that every galaxy is moving outwards, thus the Universe is constantly expanding.

rcarter2 : I understand that every galaxy is moving. I guess it really depends on how you look at it. If you look at it as everything that the universe is everything that currently exists, then yes it is expanding. But if you look at the universe as everything, including dead space where no matter exists, then the universe cannot get any bigger since it never ends.
