I'm not really a fan of pokemon, but I know enough about it to know this- When Gen. 1 first came out, everyone noted Mew as the "god," mostly due to his ability to learn any move, and because of his huge power.
Now, here's Gen. 4, introducing an OFFICIAL god- Arceus. He can't learn every move, but he has a BST of 720, which is huge- the only one of its kind. Arceus also looks more like a god than Mew would, but who do you think is the real PokeGod?
My choice goes to Arceus. Mew's status as a god is more fan-based than official, but Arceus actually has yet to be released, so... Yeah. Mew's god status was never confirmed by Nintendo and/ or Game Freak. I also choose Arceus because he seems much more fitting, in terms, officiality, power, and appearance.
But what do you think?
