In just 5 days, Pokémon X and Y will be released.  A few months ago, it was revealed that there are Mega Evolutions.  Honestly, I can't wait to turn my Pokémon into even more of a vicious beast.  But I want to hear your guy's thoughts.  Do you think Mega Evolutions will ruin the franchise, or do you just not like the design?  Post your thoughts!

I honestly think mega evolutions were kinda needed but they should be toned down before the final release in NA as some of them (Prime example Mega charizard X) will be disgustingly overpowered, its a good thing they made these though

Yeah I think that it could turn out to be a cool idea, but I agree that it might be a problem and too many pokemon like charizard will be overpowered. But for the most part, I think that it will turn out to be a good idea. I can't wait to see how it will turn out in the games, it comes out in just 5 more days and I plan on getting at least X or Y.

I've actually heard rumors that they are only giving 10 Pokémon from each region Mega Evolutions, but I'm not too sure if that's true or not.
