yes, I'm a musician. I'm mainly a guitarist, but I can play a few other instruments, and while i don't official play piano, the few times I sat down to play came out fantastic and just came to me so...I should learn to play it.

I'm a solo musician, and never had anyone to play with, but people usually comments my playing is very solid and sometimes sounds fuller than a band.

I picked up the cello in fifth grade and never looked back.  Now I am learning the guitar and will sometimes teach myself a song on the piano.

played guitar for 9 years, bass for 8, drums for about 6 or 7 and keyboard since I was a little kid

also pretty good on piano and want to learn saxophone next. I taught myself how to play everything too

as for band advice I was only ever in one ages ago and got kicked out cause I didn't take it seriously, hope it all goes well though

Not really, no. =/ I've tried learning guitar, but I was too impatient with it and eventually just gave up. The only things I can do are play ONE song on the recorder (Merrily We Roll Along), and sing - however badly. =| I'm definitely not musically gifted. I've thought about trying to learn the guitar again, though. 

Might as well add to the list:
Yeah, I'm in my 3rd semester in college and I've had my trumpet since the 5th grade. I've yet to go a year without being in band (middle school, High school wind ensemble, and concert band last semester). Want to audition for jazz next semester and the symphonic band next fall since it fit too inconveniently into my schedule this semester. I also like music theory and plan on testing into theory 2 at least whenever i get a chance to fit it into my schedule. Perhaps a minor in music performance, but that might cost me another semester. So many required engineering classes lol

I know how you feel. I have been in two different bands and I was the only one who did anything. I wrote two songs while everyone else was just sitting on their butts. >.<

My friend gave me a right handed guitar around 15 years ago.  I'm left handed, so I played the guitar he gave me upside down.  Throughout the years, everyone who knows I play the guitar upside down has told me to get a lefty guitar, but I'm too use to the strings upside down to change them now.  It's not  very hard to flip tablature over.  I eventually taught myself how to play chords.    I played with a band(a group of my friends) for a few months.  I'm more of a rhythm player.  I can play a few beats on the drums.  I don't mess with instruments anymore.  I was a bad ass on Guitar Hero 3.... So I guess I am a musician... Just Kidding.

I like to think that I have a musician hobby-ist inside of me. I've been playing trumpet for the past 8 (ish) years. Both classical and jazz for the past 3.5-4 years. I also began teaching myself alto saxophone on the horn my sister left behind when she went to college. I've also learned a few basics to counterpoint.

I am not a musician. I have always wanted to learn to play the piano, but never had much of an opportunity. But even though I am 23 years old now, I have now started piano lessons about a month ago, and it is going pretty well. I plan on keeping up with the lessons until I graduate, and I will keep practicing afterward.

I was a drummer in a garage band for a few years during high school... we played pretty well; I had drum lessons for a few years so I was able to count the tempo and coordinate with the rest of the group. That was a while ago though so I'm probably rusty at it now. After we split up I ended up selling my set.

Most kind of music I do is hip hop. I can't read notes 'n stuff, so I might not be a quite good person to ask, when it comes to musical questions.

I guess I could be considered a musician. I'm in the band at school. I'm not incredibly good, and don't really plan to be a career musician, but it's fun for now.

I dabble in making music. I don't have the patience, though. I would love to play my guitar, though... The problem is... My mom put it behind a chair that is impractical for electric guitar playing. I used to work on getting a good death growl, but it was pretty painful, and my vocal range seems to be fairly rigid, anyways. I would rather spare everyone the bad soundingness of those death growls I attempted.

I do write songs, just haven't been in the mood to write lately. I do plan to get a harmonica, which was something my one of my grandpas would always play until he died. Music seems to run in my family since most of my cousins have some sort of experience with an instrument, same with uncles, and even a good bit of my great grandparents were musicians. A cousin of mine also is part of the Christian rock band Skillet.

I might know how to play the recorder still, but that thing was something I was forced to play. I hate it with a passion. The grades where music class is mandatory where I live were where I gained that hate for the recorder. I was forced to learn the keyboard, as well, but that was much less painful. I might have some memories of how to play it, but I doubt it.

Before anyone asks who the cousin is that plays some instrument in Skillet, I forgot who it was. I probably should work on getting my guitar in a less awkward place, too.

I love listening to music, and I sing in the shower and along to the radio an abnormal amount, but sadly I'm no musician. I appreciate music, but I can't write it/play it at all.

Well not really but I did take three years of violin course....in the past but got to stop as I had priority in university studies.....at that time....
