In Super Smash Brothers I would go with Ness. The hat looks cool, AND I get PSI/PK Flash! It's the best of both worlds.

In the Super Smash Bros. series, Ness. Like "A user of this" said, it looks good and it acquires some nice skills.

But, in the games, I like taking the Cupie power and the Fighter power. Those both are strong and easy to use.

I like Wheel for the reference to Ness with his cap, its also a good ability for speed. I also like Parasol for having protection from above attacks and floating down like a leaf.

My Favorite Kirby power: 
I would say I have always liked the Ice or freeze power. I just thought it was cool to be able to freeze your enemies and kick them away. I would also say the sword power was my second favorite. In later games the sword could be used to do combo moves.
