Alright, so the other day I was having a debate with a friend that was saying that Homo and Heterosexual people are different since they don't have the same sexual preference, and such should not be treated equally, although Bisexual and Homosexual people SHOULD be treated equally, since (And I quote) "They are not straight"
I am Bisexual myself, and this really ticked me off. After he said that, I just left and went with another friend, because I wanted to tell him some stuff that I probably shouldn't. What do you guys think of this matter? I myself think that everyone should be treated equally, no matter what skin color, sexual preference, sex or any other difference that people might have.

I think all three are the same. They are all people. The difference between homosexual, heterosexual, and bisexual is like the difference between someone that is a vegetarian, someone that only eats meat, and someone that eats both. Just personal preferences. My dad once told me "Some guys like blonds, some like brunettes, and some like other guys. It's as simple as that". And yes, I am a Christian.

I think that everyone should be treated equally no matter what. It doesn't matter what their sexuality is. They are all people.

Why should bisexuality be treated as homosexuality?  Shouldn't it just be treated as, well, bisexuality?  It doesn't make sense to think of it any other way.

Hrm... Interesting thought. I am bisexual, in a homosexual relationship, so... Anyone who would see me with my partner would say, "she's gay". Which is, in a very obvious way, true. But I'm not ONLY gay. So yes, I believe that bisexuality can easily be put into a category with homosexuality, but just as easily with being straight. Sexuality is a fluid spectrum. It varies by individual, and all really flows together under the same bell curve. But no, I do not believe that people of any sexual preference should be treated "differently" because of it. There's just no reason for it. Everybody likes something in the bedroom, whether it's a fetish, a kink, a body type, or a gender. Everybody's the same.

If homosexuals are treated equally, I don't see why bisexuals aren't treated equally.

Everyone is treated equally - gay, bi, straight, black, white, purple, etc.

I dont understand why people bother differentiating based on sexuality, it has no bearing on their worth or the relationships (non sexual) they form.

On another note I was pretty much RAISED by a homosexual couple and I know first hand they're not heretic Satan spawns. On the debate on treating Bisexuals and Homosexuals the same I don't believe it should matter regardless! EVERYONE should be treated equal. PERIOD. I don't care about your religion, race, sexual orientation or if you like ponies or anime. Trying to segregate people based on their tastes or biological makeup is stupid and wrong. As much as it is trying to shove said tastes down other people's throats. but that's ANOTHER debate.

First off, there are some really hot lesbians. Now to the question; I say they should be treated equally and gay marriage should be allowed, because everyone deserves to be happy.

We should all be treated equally regardless of sexual orientation, we are all human beings.

thenumberone : People bother to differentiate on sexuality because it is something that stands different from what they know.  It's the same with leftists and rightists, religious folks and atheists, communists and capitalists, feminists and misogynists, KKK members and Black Panthers.

People are social creatures and we desire acceptance over everything.  We want to belong and one easy way to establish social connections is through sexuality.  I'm a boy and I like girls so it is easy to talk with boys who like girls.  

Me personally?  I don't care.  Humans are sexual beings and it's like hating someone because they prefer different toppings on their pizza.  It doesn't matter because it doesn't affect a person's good or bad nature.

But others see it as a way to create social boundaries within which they feel comfortable.  Silly if you ask me.
