I'm a conservative on Moral values and probably in the middle somewhere on economic issues...I think

I am damn proud of it! If i were a liberal i wouldn't be proud of my self, or libertarian for that matter.......
All it means is that i have strong conservative values. I'm not a fashist or nething.

When I see the word 'neoconservative' I think of Southern Baptists holding signs that say 'God Hates Fags'.

I know plenty of people like that, It's quite sad.

I'm just telling you my experiences with people proud to be called that.

Thread is kind of going off topic but I'll say I also consider myself a liberalitarian(major spelling issues). I'd also like to say that I did terrible on my English midterm. The reason being because we were asked to right an essay on the dream of america and cite quotes from an article. Me, being one to refuse to say or write what I don't believe, I wrote through a pessimistic view. The problem came when I had to throw in BS paragraphs and support because the "source" was completely and totally baised against a pessimistic view. My teacher expressed her views when she responded to my personal view on America's future(as well as bashing my essay) and my Chemistry teacher used to spend half of every class complaining about Bush and pointing out everything he does wrong, usually which I slept through because I already knew it all^^. But point is that schools do seem to be mostly liberals and it causes some troubles. Teacher's who grade essays on material like that need to be completely unbiased. And while that is literally impossible they need to at least not be overly liberal or conservative.

Where do you guys go to school? I went to public school untill about 7th grade. And my science teacher was a christian. In fact he was a big namer at my mom's old church.

He would teach us about evolution then tell us "This is a bunch of garbage."

I've never experienced a liberal teacher in my life. :

lol, I used to be pretty one sided about religious things a couple years ago. I had a test in Earth Science I got wrong because I refused to believe that the world has been in existance for more than a few thousand years, rather than several million or more. So I think I put down 3000 or 4000 and got it way wrong. I don't know if all schools are like mine but I have to say that mine is like this and it does and has caused troubles.

It must be a regional thing on how liberal/conservative the schools are. Heh.

No, because teachers are members of unions.... and unions are liberal (for the most part). So yea. And i think they should teach both evolution and creationism.

John, got any facts to show that ALL teachers apart of some big liberal union? Or is this an opinion that unions are liberal?

Also I think neither should be taught. Because neither has been proven.

Not to mention creationism should remain in church.

I think evolution should be taught in science exibits as a theory that has yet to be proven. Not in schools.

Teaching a THEORY is very bad practice for schools.

I've never come across a liberal teacher, all the teachers I've had in my life were extremely conservative. Which is where I gathered the whole 'regional' idea.

Atleast 4 of my teachers were christians who brought it up during school.

I think schools should be open-minded...

And I think liberal beliefs are by far the most open-minded... Hence "liberal".
