The title pretty much says it. When you find a thread or poll on the board you like do you read what everyone else has posted before you post? I do, I like to know what everyone thinks of the topic at hand. I also hate to put the same old thing that has already been said over and over so if I don't really have anything to say other then what has been posted I wont post. Why do you read all the posts or don't read all the posts in a thread? Oh and ps if this is in the wrong place, my bad.

I pretty much go through the majority of posts to see what others have said and or if someone already answered something or mentioned something I intended on doing. I don't want to post something someone has already said and what not. But sometimes its just fun to see what everyone else has to say and take a look at their viewpoints. Sometimes it can make you think more before posting and allows you to formulate a better post than what you had going for you before you read any of the other posts.

But of course that's just me and what I like to do.

I love reading what other people got to say about the thread's topic especially the posts in the debate forum those can get really interesting sometimes and are worth the while to read.

Sometimes I do. If I posted the thread or poll then yes. If I am not really in a rush and there aren't then many replies, then no. If I am in a close posting race between another user during the VCS or TdV, then no. If it is over two pages, then no. It all depends. I always read what the creator of the thread says though.

It really depends on how many there are. As you said, I wouldn't read twenty pages of replies, but if it's only a page or two, then yes, I read them all first. And if there are too many pages, I tend to read most of the posts on the first and last pages. for a few reasons:

I will admit I do not always read what everyone says.  It is a very bad habit but I tend to just scan things as I go.  Though most threads I find myself reading everything, I like to know the opinions of other people on topics.

I find it a curse because I also like to just skip to the last page but then I feel like I have to go back because I may have missed something important someone said or posted and it just ends up taking longer to get through the Forum that way and then everything drags.
