There are a lot of great teams this year, but only 10 can make the playoffs, and one from each league will go head-to-head to win it all. I say that the Red Sox and A's have the best chance of making it from the AL, and Pittsburgh and Los Angeles from the NL.

I think the Braves have a decent chance. They had that huge winning streak and have played pretty well all year long. I would love to see one of the historically bad teams like the Pirates do it, but I highly doubt that will happen. I do believe they could make some noise in the playoffs though.

I don't really care who wins since my Mariners are in the midst of yet another losing season. I probably won't be following the playoffs very closely, but I just have a feeling the Cardinals will get it done again. However, I would like to see the Pirates make a deep run. I can't imagine what two decades of consecutive losing seasons felt like.

I feel for ya Chewed, I'm also in M's territory. They'll pull something together in about 5 years, I'd say. Not that they might not make a surprise run soon, but it just seems the A's and Rangers are at the top of their game now.
