Hi everyone,

The RGR Plugin seems to be having some problems lately, specifically with Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap. Although, I don't know exactly where to put these problems, so I hope one of the staff will move this and please let me know where to put future problems.

Anyway,
The Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap has been crashing a lot lately, and when it does, it says that the RGR Plugin has crashed and needs to be forced shut down. Figured I would say something in case anyone hasn't yet.

Thanks for... reading, I guess? Ha. Computer nerd humor...

Hope to see some improvements! Love this site!

Sincerely,
Estaban216

For the GBA, right? I've tried it just now and it seems to work fine for me. Here are a few questions to help clear things up;

What browser are you currently using?

What Windows version is your computer at?

Which part are the crashes happening in the game?

Has your RGR plug in been updated to 2.0?

Local Mods :

Please move this to the Retro Game Room forum. Thank you.

Mistress :

Thank you!

1. Yes, the GBA version.

2. I'm using Google Chrome.

3. I am using Windows Vista Home Premium

4. The parts that are crashing for me are when I am in Hyrule Town and I go into the Cafe, shrink down and go up to see the little people on the roof. If I walk around there or head right outside, then into the building across the bridge, it crashes.

5. I do not know exactly what RGR version I have, but I suppose I could uninstall and reinstall it and see what happens. Or do you have a better suggestion?

Thank you so much for your help!

Actually, This happens due to the Plug-In being unable to emulate that area of the game, it happens as well with latter areas.

There's a way to solve this, just follow these instructions: https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=41358.

Hope this helped.

Similar to what Eddy said before, this is an issue with the "Rom" for that game not playing well with the default emulator the Plugin uses for GBA.

You can fix it using the instructions contained within the link that Eddy posted or you can use the alternate emulator "Mednafen" The only issue with that is that your save state is not compatible with that emulator.

To use, load the game like you normally would, then click the link "Play using Mednafen" found in the upper left hand corner of the game window. This emulator also supports full-screen by pressing alt+enter on your computers keyboard with the game window active.

Sweet! Thanks guys! Looks like things are working now. Just have to remember to avoid those areas that are affected.

Thanks again!
