Hello guys! I was planning on making a texture/graphical hack for Super Mario Bros 1 (NES), involving just simple graphical updates. I am wondering how can I possibly do this? And is it difficult?

What I want to do is just change the TILES. No enemies, npc's, text, ect. Just the Tiles AND title screen. I want it to stay in the original 8-bit format as usual. Also, can I use MS Paint for this? (I know, MS Paint is not very good. But it is very useful for pixelated stuff.) Or must I download something else?

I would appreciate an answer of what I need and where I can get what I need .

GamerPony2013 : Rom hacking requires you to know some programming as well as having a decent hand at graphic arts. Paint can't really make you anything useful. To make proper graphics you will need editing software like Photoshop or something similar.
