Has any body else wondered how cartridge games are put on here or any other website? I can understand cd games because computers have a cd drive. But i have always wandered how they get the cartridge games online.

These can be transferred to a computer with a device in a process known as "Dumping" They make these devices for all sorts of sizes of Rom/memory boards.

The process of playing them online by using a program called an "Emulator" which emulates the original hardware the Cart or ROM was meant to run on.

ROM (In computing) is a computer memory chip that stores values but does not allow updates, in which the values are nonvolatile in that they are retained even when the computer is unpowered. This was common in the early days before RAM became more popular with regards to personal computing.
