Well, it looks like a stupid pad with the controls on top of it, and I do nit think you canclose the lid, it is like a GBASP. But it was made for litte kids that can not use 3D mode. It is cheaper, and if I buy this, and pokemon X or Y I could play it without 3D, I o not like it. But it is cheaper,  I may buy it, or I may not.

1. Doing a quick search on Google, Yahoo, Youtube and such, you will find many complaints towards a broken hinge. That will no longer be a problem.
2. The release date coincides with Pok?mon X/Y, which means it will be an easier option for Pok?mon's fans that didn't buy a 3DS until then.
3. It's affordable, yes they went down the price just a little but it should be clear that it's a world-wide product. This price drop will really make a difference in 3rd World Countries, such as my homeland Brazil.
4. The capability, graphics, screen is still the same. It remains being a quality product. Also according to some people who've tested it, the 2DS feels more comfortable and natural to your hands, also the buttons are better positioned.

I'm actually thinking on actually buying it because of how it supports 3DS/NDS games. Plus it's not useless if Nintendo can make a little cash out of it. It's superior than the Xbox One, that's for sure.

I didn't really why they're making a 2DS, I pretty much understand it's a cheaper version of the 3DS only without the 3D effect and all, but it's going to lead to a lot of confusion when someone is looking for a "2DS" game.

Today is the big day for 2DS, as it is now available for purchase. Am I going to get one? Absolutely not. Firstly, I already have a Nintendo 3DS, and the system doesn't suit my needs. I do lots of 3D photography on my 3DS and I really love the 3D graphics, especially in certain games (Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon with the best 3D in my opinion). I think it will be pretty successful with younger children and people who just want to play the games and not pay a lot of money, not saying that the 2DS could be considered "not a lot of money". Anyway, I guess we'll find out if Nintendo hits the jackpot again, or if the 2DS was doomed from the very beginning.

Well, I guess the Nintendo 2ds would be fit for people who has bad eye sight so the 3d graphics wouldn't harm them. And sure it is cheap but.... I still prefer the 3ds, Well, at least for me because I have no problem with my eyes.
