This is one of the games that I immediately searched for when coming to Vizzed.  When I found it, I had to make the decision whether I should play it and risk the rose tinted glasses comprised of childhood memories smashing if it wasn't as good as I remembered.

This was the first turn based RPG I played as a Kid, now I loved the whole concept of RPG's, but up until that point I had only experienced Board Game RPG's like Hero Quest (a precursor to Warhammer).  As such it took a while for me to get used to the idea, of not 'actively' controlling the characters during battle - however after a while I began to appreciate the considered nature, of careful strategy that the game promoted.

The Story is typical RPG fare, but as such, I found myself engrossed in the various 'typical' Arabian archetypes which were presented..and yes you get a genie!. It was a nice move away from the usual Medieval fare which RPG's typically revolve around.

The music is a massive highlight, I love the opening music, as the backstory plays - it evokes a sense of mournful mystery.

If you enjoy RPG's, take a chance on this one - it's a big world to explore and the characters have good depth to them.

This is a pretty good review! It is nice and solid, I am glad you like this game, and it makes it even better if it was a part of your childhood. If this is a first review, this is really good. Most of people's first reviews are not as detailed or descriptive as this. You did a good job and you were consistant through your review. Nice job! I will say though, there are some categories of the game you forgot to mention, like gameplay, depth, difficulty and the overall categories, once you do that, your word count and the quality and detail of your review will increase. So I would recommend breaking them all down, going into detail with discussing that topic, and then scoring it accordingly. You can look at some of my reviews and do it the way I do it, break them down, give them a score and I save the overall score for the end because if it was at the beginning, then some people would just read that and ignore the rest.
