I also really think there should be a way to delete accounts that no longer are used. I'm sure there are people that signed up and played a game or 2 and haven't been back since that really don't need to be in the database anymore.

Maybe you've already handled that with what you've done but if we can get rid of the extremely inactive people (no posts for 6 months and less than 5 posts total) that would be nice.

no, I was refering to the post previous to mine.

It would be kind of nice if once someone was banned their posts stopped showing up in threads. Then people would be more likely to keep conversations going in the threads that got spammed in.

It's probably too difficult to do... and not really needed... it would just be nice if it worked that way.

We could do a simple AJAX box even where a person clicks where the posts should be and it expands if they click and it and want to see it.

How does that sound?

I don't like the idea of hiding banned user posts. Some users may only be temporarily banned and in some threads could be having a conversation with others and if you're reading a thread with that stuff hidden, it wouldn't make any sense if posts were hidden.

However, it's really rare for a banned member to actually contribute a whole lot to conversation. The majority of people getting banned are getting banned for spamming which is something that we would want to hide.

Yes I know the majority of banned users posts are nonsense, but in most cases I dont see the harm in leaving their posts.
Means we can all have a laugh at their idiocy
If you really really want it, you could maybe make an option in the settings, a checkbox like "Hide banned users posts".?

Sure, it could be an optional feature which is by default not selected but there are far better features to work on before this.
