Chase HQ, a classic game, I remember getting the Amstrad conversion, hours spent tackling the controls, sweating at the time limit running out as I had just caught up with the criminal scum I was protecting society from, hammering the turbo button, swearing at the civilians cars as they swerved and blocked my way..I remember that game...

This is not that game

There's no sense of story in the cut scenes, no Miami Vice style thrill, just the intercom and Nancy shouting out the next target.
The Graphics are dreadful, the scenes draw in front of you, mountains and cityscape just appear, destroying any sense of background depth.
The Sound is awful, tinny - when you encounter the villain of the level, your Sirens appear and the noise...you should be pulled over for noise pollution!

It's easy to catch up to the bad guy and destroy his car, controlling the car when you've pressed the turbo button is impossible.

This is one version of Chase HQ to stay away from!

Azaziel : Thanks for the information about Taito Chase HQ.  I have never tried this game and from the review you gave, it sounds like I'm not missing out too much

Hi Kramer

Chase HQ is actually pretty good on most platforms, the idea and execution are generally really good.  The version I'm most familiar with is the Amstrad version

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y4KxK04vRMg

The Arcade version is probably the best!

It always reminded me of Miami Vice - one of the best shows of the 80's - so I think it's worth a try, just not on the NEW

Your review is a bit small, don't you think? Better look at other reviews and see how they did them.

Anyways, kke it up but higher and bigger!

Yeah you could definitely use some more details in you review. This is good, but it isn't really what a review is like. You gave your opinion on the game, but you didn't really go into detail and explain the game that much. Keep on trying, I feel like you could be a good reviewer if you added some more detail.
