charmander, no question about it. i dont understand how there is so many people confused here. if you want cute, charmander has it. i really hated cyndaquil, it cant even see! typhlosion wasnt bad, but i absolutely hate cyndaquil and the middle one. dont even remember what it was called. charizard owns! when i was little i stopped watching the show cuz ash gave his charizard away. i was screaming at the tv lmfao

Cyndaquil is just so darn cute! I love it! Plus, with Cyndaquil I have always had better luck! She's always the one I would pick in Gold/Silver/Crystal. And she's the only one I have ever topped out at lv.100.

Charmander for so many reasons. To name a few:
1)It was the first gen pokemon that had the most trouble in the beginning , but kicks ass in the end

Nothing beats a fire dragon imo, so Charmander it is! (Charizard is oldschool pwnage )
But, Torchics final evolution of Blaziken would be worth a mention too, so if I were to pick two, that'd be my #2.

Kind of like Cyndaquil. I like Charmander more because of the last evolution as a flying type. It would make a good starter for your jorney as a pokemon trainer. Chimchar is the least favorite kind of fire starter. Too easy to raise. Tochic has the best Blaze kick when it has its last evolution.

Despite the fact that the first stage is nowhere near the best, I have to go with Torchic simply because of Combusken and Blaziken. Blaziken has to be my all-time favorite (non-legendary) pokemon, and has a great arsenal. Not only that, but it kicks Steven's rear in R/S!
