Thanks for reading my review--happy gaming!  --kramer4077

Overall: 5/10--The theme of this Patriotic Pinball game is very endearing!  You play your way through American history and the pinball boards are decorated accordingly.  I can tell the makers put a lot of heart into this game, but when it boils down to it, it's just another pinball game.  The only thing to do in the game is hit the levers at the bottom of the game for the ball to bounce off of and try to score as many points as you can.  There were special spots on the board that offered a type of "mini-game."  However, there was nothing too exciting in those.

Graphics:  7/10--There are only two pinball boards for America on Duty and Road Trip Coast to Coast.  The pinball boards have neat designs on them, but are so intricate that everything is difficult to see.  When you hit the ball you are just hoping that it gets you lots of points and it doesn't matter where you hit it.  There are some special "mystery" spots on the board, but it seemed all those do is give you more points.  At least the boards do stay still while you are playing.  They don't zoom in on the ball like other pinball games do.

Sound: 5/10--It has some sound effects, as you'd expect from pinball.  There is the sound of bells when the ball hits them.  A commander-type of voice talks to you during the game.

Addictiveness: 4--I probably won't play this game again.  But if someone out there loves pinball this could be a neat little game for you!  The Patriotic/American History theme is really a nice concept.  I suppose it would be fun trying to find all the special spots on the board, like I found the Battle of Gettysburg.  It offers a fun way to review historical information.  Maybe someone studying for a history test would enjoy this game

Story: There's no story here.  Just your basic game of pinball.

Depth: 5/10--There are 2 pinball boards to play on--one is about American history called America on Duty and the other is called Road Trip Coast to Coast.  That's all there is in Patriotic Pinball, so there's not much depth.  Just try to score as many points as you can on those two pinball boards. There are other modes to play in, such as a tournament mode, however the game is always the same.  Hit the levers and score points.

Difficulty: 5/10--There is not much more to do than hit the levers at the bottom of the pinball machine to try to rack up as many points as possible.  At one point in the game I came to a Battle of Gettysburg game where I had to try to shoot down a cannon.  That was the extent of extra things to do in this game.  There seemed to be other special areas on the board, but it was total chance if your pinball would roll into those spots!

Call me old school but I love playing pinball games. Whether it be Pokémon Pinball, the 3D Space Cadet pinball game that came with Windows XP, or just playing a classic pinball machine! Once I obtain the PSX, I'll give this a try. Sadly, my pc broke down so there won't be any game playing for me for a while....

Great review, as always....

This is a good review. Most of your reviews are 400 words. I would try to get it up to the 500 word mark if I were you. Just add a little more detail. (Plus you get a lot more Viz if it's 500 words)

tgags123 : Thanks, and this was one of my earlier review, where I didn't realize they look for reviews to feature that are over 500 words.  When I go in to edit my reviews now I get all kinds of weird boxes in between the words and so I usually end up just hitting the back arrow so it won't save my review with lots of strange symbols in it.  Any idea how to edit without symbols and extra question marks going between your sentences?
Thanks for your help

Whenever I go to a place where there is a pinball machine, I have to play it. Some of the best one's I've played are Pirates of the Caribbean and Star Wars. On consoles a pinball game has to be pretty special to hold my attention. The only one I can ever remember that did that is Crue Ball (Motley Crue) for Genesis. I'm not sure that this one could but it's good to see a review of it. Nice one!

kramer4077 : I just realized now that this was an earlier review. I have seen a few of your reviews with just under 500 words, though. Sometimes the weird symbols happen to me too. I have no idea how to fix it.

tgags123 : OK at least I'm not alone with the weird symbols lol!  I thought I was the only one since I'm using Windows 8 and my computer sometimes does strange things   That's why I've had to leave some of these reviews just under 500 words--I'm afraid to try to edit and have all those symbols end up in the review!  There's probably some information in the help forum, so I'll have to check when I get a chance

thephantombrain :   Thanks for reading this review!  I love pinball too, so thought it would be a good game to try out.  I was disappointed since this video game didn't have much to offer.  Pinball is so much better in a real life arcade
