I charge my phone when it looks like it's running lower than I'm comfortable with. My phone's got a surprisingly good battery life, so I don't worry about it much.

While saying that, there have been times where my battery is dying during a road trip and my friend's phones were priority (we were using theirs for GPS), or I'm at work and have to make a lot of phone calls and it's got just a little green left before blinking at me.

But because of my amazing packing skills and habit of throwing random things into random bags, I usually have a spare phone cord in my bag, so as long as I have an outlet, I can charge my phone.

I always charge my phone before it dies. I use it for everything, so I have to make sure it stays charged enough for extended use. I use it for gaming (and no, I don't care for most smart phone games), browsing the Vizzed forums, checking email, and everything else I do online, as well as texting.

I also have my phone on me (or at least in the room) at all times, so I won't miss a potentially important text or call. So a well charged battery is high priority.

So yeah, I tend to plug it up after it hits 79% or lower, though I do usually let it get under 25% at night (like it is as I type this), simply because I use it the most after seven or eight p.m., but I never let it hit 0.

I'm a before the batteries die kind of charger. I lucked out with the fact that my wife doesn't text constantly, so my phone is rarely used. But even before that, I used to try to always keep it charged in case you really needed it sometime.
