Okay you are a top scientist and work in a Laboratory that you founded. In the year 2016 a virus has sprung out that spreads rapidly. You live in a city and your research lab is a one and a half hour drive from your house. The city is called, "Hamplebuttonutoo." Of course you work day and night and then finally find a cure that could help keep your city alive. It makes you immune to the Zombie Virus that has infected most of the world's population. But now, what do you do with it? Do you keep on making more with what you have or do you give the Vaccine to your entire town? If you wait too long to make more the entire city might get infected but if you don't, then your town might be the only piece of civilization on Earth, and survivors outside of your city will get scattered. You have the power to help people, what do you do with it? Type in your what you will do! You will say how long and then I will put in random natural disasters and see if you picked good or not.

Drink it in front of a family with zombies swarming their house and then shoot myself in the head. Give them a sense of "We're being saved" and then just do that.

KingTrololo : I would wait to make more in 7 months.... How much would that help.... If I wait 7 months then I will be able to make enough for the surrounding cities or states, maybe the entire country....? Since I'm your little brother go easy on me.... please?
Okay I will make more in 7 months but I will work hard and hire new people... hopefully quick enough so I can help the entire country.

Reggtroller : NOPE! You wait 7 months and the Government has already nuked the east area of America in order to stop the zombies from coming from the east (the source of infection) but to no avail... Your lab informs them about your cure and waits the 7 months. At least you don't have to worry about curing the east area of the USA.... You make enough for the west area and a little bit of the north area of the USA but, the Government then take the remaining cure and your research for their infected soldiers trying to stop the zombies from reaching the east because you took so long! so you can't cure anyone else...
Result: Saves east and a little bit of north. Rest of world dead or scattered....

I would find people who were not infected in my city and give them the recipe. They would then help me make it. Then we worked day and night. In 2 days we had enough for a lot of people so some people stayed behind and worked on more of it while some people cured people in the city and some flew helicopters in to other cities and gave the governor of that city the vaccine. The governor would then give it out across his city. It would also go to towns and such.

KingTrololo : I have a more intricate plan that may work.

First, I would split the supply that I already have and give it to 30 chemists in the town, asking ten to stay and create more and the other twenty to leave the town and create more in other towns. The ten chemists would work day and night and I would ask fifty delivery boys to give the vaccine to everyone in the town. The vaccinated townspeople would erect a barricade around the town with only one entrance that told about the vaccine.  Say the vaccine takes two days to make. The chemists could make 50 at a time each, so within two days 1000 people will have been cured. After two weeks, the entire town will have been cured. After that, eight of the chemists leave the town to cure other people in different towns, leaving three in the city (including me) to keep producing vaccines for storage for stragglers that enter the town.

The 20 chemists that originally left would reach surrounding cities within a matter of hours (since we have cars). They would tell the people about the cure and each would seek 10 additional chemists. Thus, if only two chemists came to each city, the 20 chemists would be at a total of 10 cities. With the additional chemists, each town would have 22 chemists, making 50 each, every two days. Thus, within a matter of weeks those cities are vaccinated. Then most of the chemists leave and 3 stay.

If that keeps occurring, it will only be a matter of months before the entire world is vaccinated since the number of chemists helping and cities cured grows exponentially faster.

If there are natural disasters only a few will be harmed since there are only two chemists going to each city. In an age of long, long distance radios and transceivers, the chemists would not even need internet or cell-phones to communicate and coordinate their plans.

Furthermore, there are a few ways that the process can be sped up even faster.

We're assuming that internet and cell-phone towers are down. With this age of information, there are many ways to exploit the speedy spreading of information to help.

The goal is to spread the information faster than the zombie virus spreads. That requires exponentially more people knowing about the cure per day.

Helicopters
At the beginning, a few writers will copy down the procedure and recipe and mass produce (millions of sheets) telling how to make the cure. Using helicopters and planes, boxes of the papers can be dumped in cities and towns within the first few days. This will be highly effective in reaching far places before the chemists reach there. Plus, the recipe can be further shared by the inhabitants of the towns.

Radios
A radio station can be commandeered (or even a rig-up of walkies-talkies) and broadcast 24/7 what the recipe is and how to make it. That way anyone within radio distance listening on a receiver will hear the cure.

Cars
With loud-speakers, powered by the car's battery, several vans can fly down the roads yelling about the cure and a car behind it will see people come out and give them the cure and the recipe. Human curiosity could be dangerous, but it's helpful in this transfer of information.

I'll also talk about some alternate scenarios:

Alternate Scenario 1: Zombies start attacking
If the zombies start getting very aggressive and time seems to be running short, then the people of the town will wage a full scale war on the zombies. For every zombie killed by shooting or stabbing it through the head, countless people will not be infected. Considering the billions of bullets stashed up in each state alone, a combined effort would allow for quick and massive retaliation against the zombies.

Meanwhile, the chemists would still continue to do their creation of cure to keep spreading the antidote.

Alternate Scenario 2: Natural disasters become extremely powerful
The people of the city will start to stash up food and a few underground military bases will be reused as a bunker for all the people in the town. Countless zombies and normal people will be destroyed, but a good sized population of normal people will remain to repopulate.

Alternate Scenario 3: Everyone but the town becomes zombies
Since the zombies are stupid and not strong, they can't get over strong walls and will only keep pounding (which is similar to some of us trying to hit a brick wall over and over again to make it fall. It's not going to happen. Within the barricade around the city, a wall of concrete, brick, and stone will be constructed from the combined effort of the townspeople and by heading of the architects.

A few hundred citizens adept at using guns will stand on top while the wall is being constructed and look out and shoot zombies that get too close.

That should be enough detail to survive this situation. Let me know if it's good enough!
