puma : UMDs are discs. I know because I have a gen 1 PSP. There are only two PSP games that I like: Monster Hunter Freedom Unite and Castlevania Dracula X Chronicles.
However, were I to name the amount of great DS games that I like, I would be here forever.

I'm not really sure what this PSP 3000 business is. But definitely DS Lite. It's got better games and a better control scheme in my opinion.

I'm going with PSP Go. Know why? Because you can homebrew it, and make it play all sorts of games. However, you should really do this if you own the game.

Dude, just keep your DS Lite. That's what I would do if I were you. It's a classic, and trust me, you would probably regret selling it for some PSP Go if you do. Also, I just think the DS line of handhelds is better and more successful than the PSP one. It's still your choice, though.

I would definitely prefer the video gaming system of the Nintendo DS Lite greater than the video gaming system of the Sony PlayStation Portable. Why? Actually, it is quite simple. Within my opinion, the video games of the Nintendo DS Lite are greater than the video games of the Sony PlayStation Portable. I'm not sure if this thread is still relevant to the original poster, but I would vote DS Lite; the game variety is much better than the PSP Go.

If you’re not going to get the PSP 3000, then stick with the DS Lite. A PSP Go is not worth it, Sony stopped making that system soon after it was launched because so few people liked it and downloading games was such a hassle.

I like the DS light better than the PSP. It had a lot of more games that I enjoyed that the PSP didn't have. I also like the graphics and originality of it. I don't think a PSP is worth buying.

I originally planned to vote for the DS lite since it had such a variety of games, but I'm going to vote for PSP Go (ahh, the horror!) since it doesn't have an easily breakable hinge, it will have a larger screen, and the games can be stored on the device versus lost since they're so small.

PSP Go does not have that many good games, but the DS Lite has about 50-100 good games on it, making it way better.

Me personally I like the Nintendo DS lite better because there are a lot more titles and variety game choice wise. I also think Nintendo DS games are a bit more cheaper than PSP games and the games for the Nintendo DS lite are more convenient and portable(portable as in easy to bring and transport around after all it's alot easier to carry a small about 2 x 2 square than a disc).

>Never played any Sony consoles

OR

>Played 2 games on PSP
>Says that there aren't any good PSP games

Nintendo fanboys and fangirls... When will you learn? SONY SUPERIORITY

And yes, I greentexted on Vizzed. deal wif it. I do that a lot.

ANYHOW, I don't really know much about the PSP GO, but any PSP is an awesome PSP. Yeah, the DS Lite is pretty good, but compare with any PSP. Better games/more T-rated games (admit it, everyone gets bored after played E-rated games forever), way better specs, way better graphics, way more durable...

I honestly think you should get a PSP Go. The one I had was a 16gb of storage and memory card. Also, If you install custom firmware, you can get free games, emulators, cool apps and more. The one thing that I don't like is no Youtube. But you can download Youtube videos and convert them to a PSP video format.

I'd definitely say the DS Lite. However, I have not ever been an owner of a PSP Go. But it seems to me that the DS has a much stronger game library. And there's the awesome touch screen, of course.
Speaking of the DS, did you guys know that all Nintendo  WiFi services are shutting down on May 20th? This includes past generation Nintendo consoles such as all DSs except the 3DS, and the Wii but not the Wii U. No more smash bros or Mario kart online, or metroid prime hunters online battles. Netflix is still being supported though.
