The diagnosis criteria doesn't distinguish between social inability and social choice. It's an invalid mental illness that I was diagnosed twice with. Does anyone feel similarly about it?

Autism is a thing, there are just different levels of it.  I have a friend who has autism and you would never guess he actually has it until you really get to know him.  It is possible to have high functioning autism where you go to school normally, learn what everyone else is learning, but you might be just a little socially awkward.  Autism is not an invalid illness and it does exist.  It's just that a lot of people have it differently.

Finally I see a thread about Autism

I have Autism but it is very mild. You can't tell I have it unless I tell you. Almost no one here knows I have Autism, even my vizzed friends that I trust. Almost no one believes me when I tell them that I have Autism.

There are a lot of people that have it but you can't even tell. I know someone that is autistic that I knew for 10 years and I didn't know he was autistic until he told me. If you are diagnosed with autism, the doctor isn't making fun of you, he's telling you that you have an illness, even if it is very mild. Just because you are diagnosed with it doesn't mean that you are any less important or intelligent than people without it.
