Okay. So I am a prep cook at this place and I enjoy being that. But there is this one problem. They are making me do other things. For example, I have been prepping about 4 days a week. Now the past month, I'm only prepping once a week. Only because they hired another prep. They are now making me work other positions such as dishwasher and waiter. I've been doing that most of the time every week. It pisses me off because I was there to prep, not do everything. To make it worse, the other preps are ONLY prepping and doing nothing else. Is this fair for me? Because I have had enough with this crap. It's like saying to an accountant to be a janitor for next week. Wtf, this isn't fair. I've told them about it and they are being negative to me saying that I am not being a team player. Oh yeah, well what about the other preps. I assume they are being a better team player than me. Heck no! It's like I am just an extra now and useless. Do u think its fair for them to do this to me? I deserve to have my title back.

I think you were hired to help in the kitchen.  If there are other prep guys doing work then you are moved to what will work the best.  If they pay you the same amount, who cares what you do?  You gotta suck it up, not worry about a 'title' and do the work.  Work hard and show them you care and you're involved and you'll do whatever needs to be done.  They will see it and they'll see the enthusiasm and you'll get to do whatever you want.

Waiters get tips.  You should make much more being front of house than back of house and doing prep work.
