Well, its known that teachers are paid horrible. Some of the teachers i know, shouldnt even be paid as much as they do. They get paid, what... around 30,000 a year. They do what they love, and get paid crap for teaching 'future america'. So, what do you guys think of this crap?

We live in a world where a few pretty boys who lip sync to song they didn't write can make millions upon milions of dollars but a teacher has to struggle to make ends meet. Something is wrong with that picture.

Also, nowadays teachers are expected to basically raise the children. They can't really do much to stop a child's bad behavior either. I might be a teacher, but never at a public high school, maybe a private high school or at the college level, but too many people would get on my nerves at a public high school. I just wish some parents could do a better job raising their children.

All athletes and everyone in Hollywood should ALL take a damn pay cut, they make WAAAY to much. How hard is it to act anyway? Even if it is sorta hard, you shouldn't make THAT much and the fame your getting is amazing aswell.

There are too many teachers who think of teaching as some "job" when it's really a calling. You have to have a strong drive to teach for you to be a decent teacher in my humble opinion.

With that said there are alot of very good teacher who are grossly under paid.

John brings up a good point, they pretty much attend their "work" as much as the students attend school. The average school, students attend 180 days. Teachers have a few extra days, but not many, at very most, 10 - 15 more days than the students, this means, the teachers only work a little over HALF of the days in a year!
