mrkoolnerd : From my own experience, there really isn't any great host company. I've used many host companies over the past 10+ years and I've researched and read about even more. Hostgator has it's faults but they are definitely the best I've used and way better that Godaddy.

Davideo7 : I noticed in your last announcement that you had said you would try to make the down-time up to everyone. I just wanted to say, that you shouldn't feel guilty or obligated to do that. I for one, appreciate all that you do here, and to just have the site around is good enough. You do the programming, you pay for the server, and all of it is done so that other people can enjoy gaming for free. The server host being lame has nothing to do with you or all of the staff that work so hard to make this place what it is. Regardless of whatever we go through here on the site, we all go through it together, so you shouldn't feel bad or that it is your responsibility to do even more than what you already do. I just wanted to say thank you, and I feel lucky that there are others around who just want to do good for people out of genuine kindness. I'll continue to do everything that I can to help that cause.

Davideo7 : Thanks for all your hard work David. Honestly outside of some random downtime for short periods the maintenance hasn't been that bad really. (Although I'm sure it's requiring a lot of work and effort from you for it to be that way)

Hostgator is a web hosting provider; in other words, Vizzed's mother site. The url www.vizzed.com came from hostgator, while the site (Vizzed) itself is created by Davideo7. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Hostgator really knows when to continue maintenance; When I'm on a posting spree or when threads actually get interesting... But, I mean, what has to be done has to be done. No argument there. At least the site'll be better once this is over, eh?

Though, I like how you're keeping your cool, David. Most site owners just power through maintenance due to greed, screwing up the site. You are the only site owner I really enjoy and appreciate.

Davideo7 : Um I submitted a video about a week ago and I didn't get CP or Viz for it.
Also I have submitted a lot of content and I did not get CP or Viz for that either.

zeross121 : You can still post during those times but if you're going to post big posts or do post sprees, I'd recommend doing it before a backup is made.

Mistress : Actually vizzed.com is located on godaddy and than vizzed.com points to my hostgator server. That probably sounds confusing lol. To make it even more confusing, the my hostgator server points to another server which is the database server.

goodboy : To be honest, I don't think we'll even notice much of an improvement in side speed.
