In Super Mario advanced you can play either as Mario, Princess Peach, Toad or Luigi. Mario is a all around character with no specific field of advantage, Princess Peach can hover which can be very useful if you jump and you can't clear the jump, Toad has no specific field of  advantage and Luigi jumps extra high. Their isn't much of a plot or story in Super Mario advanced but when your beating levels your suppose to look for keys to unlock the bosses door. Their is the classic game of Mario bros in the game its self as like a mini game.
