Well In megaman and bass you can choose which character you want to play as and no matter which one you choose it doesn't alter the storyline. Now Megaman can slind under things but his jumping is terrible and in order to get a decent amount of damage done to his enemies using the M buster you have to constantly hold and charge the weapon. Now with Bass he can double jump and dash and his blaster shots rapid fire shots so you don't have to constantly charge his weapon.
