it says to open this file windows needs to know what created it. windows can go online to look it up automatically or you can manually select one from the list
i have tryed both but they do the same thing it gives you a list of links but non of them work

Ok cool, for zip, rar and other archives you need a program to "extract" them.
I recommend you download 7zip from http://www.7-zip.org/ and install it.
Then afterwards right click on the FF7 file and select extract from the 7zip menu.
Let me know how you go
