N is for Neutral Milk Hotel. One of my favorite bands when I was an older teenager. I hated it for 3 years after I first heard the music but once I gave In the Aeroplane Over the Sea a full listen, the cryptic and meaningful lyrics, amazing horn arrangements, and an atmosphere that feels really unique. The singer doesn't have conventional singing talent yet his emotion and passion drive the tone and feels good.
